Upton, R-St. Joseph, stayed on the defensive, refuting O'Brien's jabs while highlighting his bipartisan goals.

Fred Upton has been one of BP (British Petroleum -- the company whose mammoth oil spill devastated the gulf) biggest recipients of campaign cash--top three. I'm hoping O'Brien questions Upton about the oil spill in MICHIGAN also, a year or two ago, which threatened to spread all the way into Lake Michigan. I figure Upton is not going to press the matter if his bread is getting buttered by the petroleum industry.
