BENTON HARBOR - Fears of armed, uniformed police officers patrolling the halls of Benton Harbor schools are unfounded, city officials said Wednesday.
Benton Harbor Emergency Manager Tony Saunders II said the city's school security proposal would feature unarmed police reserve officers, wearing what school and city officials agree to be proper. Saunders and Daniel McGinnis, the city's director of police services, held a press briefing Wednesday to clear up misconceptions about the proposal.
