Berrien jail medical care costs increase

ST. JOSEPH - The cost of providing medical care for Berrien County jail inmates continues to climb, topping $900,000 in 2012.

Expenses for treatment in the jail, hospitalization and medication in part reflect the damage caused by drug abuse and poor health habits, Sheriff Paul Bailey said.

    This should be a non issue with Obamma Care. It's out there my taxes went up to pay for it. Maybe Doctors Without Borders could do some time here.
