BENTON HARBOR - The Benton Harbor Parks & Recreation Conservancy, which took over managing 14 of the city's parks Jan. 1, is wasting no time as it prepares for spring.

President Jim Schueneman told the conservancy's board of directors Tuesday that only three properties have not been adopted under the agency's adopt-a-park program. He said he has signed adopt-a-park agreements for three parks and has lined up businesses or churches that are interested in the rest.
