It is too soon to tell how well Southwest Michigan's fruit trees and vines survived the brutal winter.
"Some did," said Jeff Lemon, who runs Lemon Creek Fruit Farm and Lemon Creek Winery near Berrien Springs with his brother, Tim Lemon. "It was a pretty harsh winter. At this point, we're cutting buds and assessing damage."
