NRC reinstates Covert Township nuclear plant to its top category

COVERT - This has been a rough year for the Entergy-owned Palisades plant in Covert Township, but things are looking up.

The year started with a downgrade of the plant's safety performance status by the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission from its top category to the second-highest of the five categories due to safety problems in 2011.
