Berrien sets hearing on proposal to ban pier jumping

ST. JOSEPH - Berrien County commissioners will take public comment early next year on a proposed ordinance to ban pier diving and jumping, except for emergency rescues.

Commissioners on Thursday set a public hearing for 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Berrien County Administrative Center, 701 Main St., St. Joseph, in the county commission's meeting chamber.
