BARODA — At least a third of the Baroda Fire Department has resigned following the township board’s decision to appoint a new fire chief.

“Tonight, you lost 70 years of experience with a third of your officers resigning,” current Fire Chief Doug deBest told the township board at the end of a three-hour board meeting Monday night.
