BENTON HARBOR — Jobs and home ownership are key to keeping Benton Harbor on its path of economic development was a common narrative spoken Thursday night by the eight candidates who are running for the four open city commission seats.

They spoke during a candidate forum hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Benton Harbor-St. Joseph Alumnae Chapter and the League of Women Voters of Berrien and Cass Counties.
