The Benton Harbor Public Library recently received a national grant for small and rural libraries.

BENTON HARBOR — A $3,000 grant will help the Benton Harbor Public Library fight inequality and improve race relations, according to Library Director Kat Boyer.

“Systemic racism is a nationwide problem, but it can only be fixed once our community acknowledges the issue, identifies specific areas for improvement, and agrees to work together as a community to move forward,” she said.
