BENTON HARBOR — Benton Harbor native Julian Van Dyke says he is helping children become better readers through art.

“We wanted to do something different,” said the 1971 Benton Harbor High School graduate, who now lives in Lansing. “We know that children like art. We want to implement a reading program around art.”
