BENTON HARBOR — More than 50 people peacefully gathered in Benton Harbor on Sunday to remember Breonna Taylor, a Black woman who was shot and killed in March during a raid by white Louisville police officers in Kentucky.

Appolonia Williams-Ellis of Benton Harbor, one of the organizers, told the crowd that the killing of the 26-year-old woman hit her hard. She said the Black community is in shock over the number of Black men who have been killed by police officers.
