BENTON HARBOR — Benton Harbor school board trustees approved the state required Extended COVID-19 Learning Plan Tuesday, but not until after they considered tabling approval of the plan until some questions from the public were answered.

State law passed last August requires that the public be given a chance each month to comment on the learning plan. School board trustees are required to reconfirm the plan each month or the district could lose state funding. Superintendent Andrae Townsel said the plan is due to the state on the 5th of each month.
