BENTON HARBOR — Almost $2 million in federal money has been released by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development now that Benton Harbor has completed all of the required paperwork.

Alex Little, director of the Benton Harbor Community & Economic Development Department, told city commissioners Monday he completed not only the backlogged annual plans and assessments, but a required five-year plan that allows the city to receive Community Development Block Grant money.
