Jerrod Sanders, assistant director of the Water Resources Division at Michigan’s Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, discusses water levels Thursday during a sustainable business forum in Benton Township.

BENTON TOWNSHIP — Jerrod Sanders can’t predict the weather, but he can tell that Michigan’s lake levels are still unusually high for this time of year.

“The conditions look similar to last year,” he said during a Michigan’s Great Southwest Sustainable Business Forum, held in Benton Township on Thursday. “It looks like we are going to set record highs this year.”
