BENTON HARBOR — As one of the region’s largest companies returned to the office last month, Whirlpool Corp. employees said it felt like the first day of school.

Originally scheduled for shortly after Labor Day, workers came back to their offices on Nov. 1. For some, it was their first time back since March 2020.
