BENTON HARBOR — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will attend Whirlpool Corp.’s groundbreaking ceremony next month for its housing development project in Benton Harbor, the company announced Friday.

On Aug. 3, Whitmer will help the Benton Harbor appliance maker break ground on an 80-unit, four-story development that will be built on Riverview Drive – across from Whirlpool’s Benton Harbor Tech Center.
