BERRIEN SPRINGS — There’s no new sheriff in town, but his house could still use a touch-up.

The Berrien County Historical Association received a $10,000 grant and a one-to-one $10,000 matching grant from the Frederick S. Upton Foundation to renovate the sheriff’s house on the courthouse square, totaling $30,000 – should the association raise the $10,000 from the community.
