BERRIEN SPRINGS — Activity on the Berrien Springs school district campus is sure to get busier in coming months. Construction is already well underway on the new $9 million Sylvester Stadium and should start this June on the $19.7 million performing arts and athletic centers.

Consultant Tony Leininger of Carmi Design gave Berrien Springs school board members an update on both projects at the board’s meeting Thursday night. The meeting also featured tributes in honor of School Board Recognition Month, a report on high school guidance office services and action on a pre-Labor Day school start waiver.
