BERRIEN SPRINGS — Veteran Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township police officer Ray Keigley was honored Tuesday night for his quick actions that saved the life of a township resident.

Keigley, a 40-year veteran of the department, was given a departmental commendation and lifesaving award by Police Chief Paul Toliver at Tuesday’s Oronoko Township Board meeting. “This is the good stuff I get to do when I get to brag on my department and officers,” Toliver told board members.
