NILES — The man who caused an early August accident that killed four people north of Buchanan has pleaded no contest to second-degree murder. He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 13 in Berrien County Trial Court and faces a maximum penalty of life or any term of years in prison.

ST. JOSEPH — A man who allegedly was driving drunk when he disregarded a stop sign and his car hit another vehicle, killing four people, has been charged with murder.

BUCHANAN — A horrific crash early Friday afternoon at North Main Street and Miller Road north of Buchanan left four people dead and two others injured. Police believe alcohol, a high rate of speed and a blown stop sign may have all contributed to the tragedy.
