As boaters watch in South Haven's harbor, fireworks ignite over Lake Michigan for the 2018 Fourth of July celebration. The fireworks were canceled last summer due to the pandemic, and have been canceled again for 2021 for the same reason.

SOUTH HAVEN — For the second year in a row, fireworks will not be lighting up the shores of South Haven during the Fourth of July holiday.

City officials announced Friday that due to ongoing COVID-19 health restrictions on large gatherings, this year’s show will be canceled.
