SOUTH HAVEN — Each year thousands of visitors come to South Haven over the Fourth of July holiday to enjoy a trio of crowd-pleasing, outdoor events – an art fair, parade and fireworks display.

But for the first time in recent memory, those events won’t be taking place this summer. Like many outdoor events, the popular holiday outdoor activities have fallen victim to the coronavirus pandemic, and also, in the case of the fireworks, Lake Michigan’s record-high water level.
