ST. JOSEPH — The National Emergency Number Association is seeing a 30 percent staffing shortage on average at 911 dispatch centers across the nation, and Berrien County is no exception.
On Thursday, Caitlin Sampsell, director of the Berrien County 911 Dispatch Center, told members of the county board’s Administration Committee about one-third of the positions at the center are vacant.
