ST. JOSEPH — Freezing temperatures or torrential rains have never stopped sentinels from guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

And Thursday’s downpour did not stop dozens of people from gathering on the bluff in St. Joseph for the annual Veteran’s Day wreath-laying ceremony.
