ST. JOSEPH — A Benton Harbor man will spend at least nine years in prison for the Dec. 8, 2020, shooting death of another man.

Keveonte Barksdale was sentenced by Berrien County Trial Court Judge Angela Pasula to 86 months to 15 years for voluntary manslaughter and a concurrent term of 2-5 years for carrying a concealed weapon. Further, he will have to serve a consecutive and preceding term of two years for felony firearms, with credit for 174 days served.
