ST. JOSEPH — For the past few months the building at 301 Main St. has been transformed into what will soon be known as The Market.

The 9,000-square-foot building in downtown St. Joseph will serve as a haven for local makers and shoppers after a year’s worth of delays attributed to the ongoing pandemic.

Ben Whitney, left, and Abe Mathiau, both with Pantelleria Construction out of Benton Harbor, continue work Tuesday at The Market in downtown St. Joseph.

Owners hope to open The Market, in downtown St. Joseph, by late spring or early summer.
