ST. JOSEPH — Plans are underway to replace St. Joseph City Commissioner Peggy Getty, who announced last month that she plans to resign soon because her husband’s job has been moved to South Bend, and they will be moving there.
The city commission discussed at great length Monday, in a meeting conducted via Zoom, the process to replace her. Her replacement will serve until November, when her term is up, then would have to run for election.
