ST. JOSEPH — After a year and half, Thomas Bruce is out as St. Joseph Public Schools superintendent.

Bruce, who was hired in July of 2019, submitted his resignation to the school board, which accepted it Thursday morning during a special meeting. According to school officials, Bruce’s decision was a “matter of his personal privacy” and did not stem from any allegations or misconduct.
