ST. JOSEPH — A man attempted to persuade an Upton Middle School student, who was waiting at a bus stop Tuesday morning, to get into his vehicle, school officials said.

According to an email sent out to parents from St. Joseph Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Kelly Gaideski, the man – who was in a blue Toyota Prius – approached the student at the area around Marquette Woods Road and Woodland Drive.
