STEVENSVILLE — The Lakeshore school district is preparing for a possible $1.8 million cut in state funding for the next fiscal year, Superintendent Phil Freeman told trustees Monday.

He said state legislators held a Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference last month, and the news is not good. State revenues are expected to drop due to the state economy being hobbled by state action to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
