WATERVLIET — Watervliet Public Schools officials are planning a summer school program for this summer that’s more robust than years past.

“Normally, summer school is an important piece of school life in that we’re able to help kids who’ve gotten a little bit behind and get them caught up with their peers and keep them running into the next school year. Well this year, it’s especially important,” Brandon Waggoner, director of curriculum, instruction and special projects at Watervliet Schools, told the school board Monday night.
