My friend, Carrie Bachman, who moved from New York City to the Berkshire Hills in Massachusetts sent me a copy of “The Berkshires Farm Table Cookbook: 125 Home-Grown Recipes from the New England Hills” by Elisa Spungen Bildner and Robert Bildner.

Its pages of color photographs feature rolling hills, woods, lakes and farms, as well as farmers, their produce and foods made from recipes based on what the farmers grow.
