Religion Insights columnist for The Herald-Palladium.

Almost six years ago, I arrived for my new assignment at Union Memorial A.M.E. Church. It was my third time being in Benton Harbor and the church.

The first time I attended Union Memorial was in 1992, when I was accepted into the ministry. It was a time of wondrous joy as I praised God for this new and exciting journey in Christian ministry.

Today’s Insights was written by the Rev. Minnie Autry, pastor at Union Memorial A.M.E. Church. Insights is written by area clergy to give different viewpoints on a variety of topics. It is published each Saturday in cooperation with the Berrien County Association of Churches. The views expressed by the author do not necessarily reflect the views of member churches.
