Sears - 50 years
Marvin and Sharon Sears of Stevensville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Nevada.
Marvin Sears and the former Sharon Starbuck were married June 7, 1969, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Benton Harbor.
They have three daughters: Jamie Murphy of Stevensville, Kristina (John) Sandmann and Stephanie (Phil) Hercik, both of Baroda. They also have seven grandchildren: Morgan, Mason and Maddox Murphy, Reneigh and Ava Sandmann, and Hazell and Evelynn Hercik.
Marvin was a meat cutter and market manager at Jewel-Osco in Benton Harbor. Sharon retired from Whirlpool Corp., in Benton Harbor. They now own Affordable Quality Furniture in Benton Harbor.
They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, watching them play sports, traveling in their motor home and fishing when they are not working at the furniture store.
