In the first two years of World War II, Great Britain stood alone against Nazi Germany. Before the United States and Soviet Union knocked the wind out of Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, Great Britain endured U-boat attacks and Luftwaffe bombing raids.

No one thought Great Britain would survive this threat, let alone win the war, except maybe Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
