BERRIEN SPRINGS — Members of the Algonquin Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution participated in a National Day of Service on Oct. 11 to mark the 130th anniversary of the DAR, which was founded Oct. 11, 1890.

They chose to clean grave markers. Randy Mottl, sexton of Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs, gave the group permission and provided them with monument-cleaning solution.
