Federal employees meet Tuesday in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR — The Southwest Michigan chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Super Buffet, 1956 Pipestone Road.

Current and retired federal employees, spouses and friends are welcome to attend. Nonmembers are welcome.

There will be an update on current bills pending in Congress and the proposed 2020 federal budget, which may affect federal employees and retirees.

Lincoln Twp. library hosts music at the picnic shelter

STEVENSVILLE — Lincoln Township Public Library, 2099 W. John Beers Road, will host music in the picnic shelter behind the library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Enjoy the Irish and original rock stylings of joHn Kennedy and Chris O’Brien. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Library hosting picnic

STEVENSVILLE — Lincoln Township Public Library, 2099 W. John Beers Road, will host a picnic at 11 a.m. Friday.

Children can bring their favorite stuffed animal and a blanket, and the library will provide stories, songs and a snack.

The event is geared toward children ages 2-5 years, and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome to attend.

Student IDs as good as library cards in Bridgman

BRIDGMAN — Bridgman Public Library, 4460 Lake St., has announced students at Reed Middle School can now use their student ID as a library card.
