My husband, Larry, and I are snowbirds this year for the first time. Although a huge disruption to life as we knew it, we are deeply grateful, and know we are incredibly blessed, to be in the warm sunshine for three months instead of the staying in the cold and snow.

It is a disruption in our life because our large family and many friends are back in the Midwest while we enjoy Florida. We miss our children and grandchildren, and the various events in their life related to sports, theater, choir and birthdays.
