ST. JOSEPH — Monday Musical Club will be concluding its 111th season with a Chorus Day program featuring its Women’s Chorus and guest saxophonist Mike Perkins.

The free concert will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Congregational Church, 2001 Niles Ave.

The Monday Musical Women’s Chorus will be under the direction of Carrie VanDenburgh with collaborative pianist Karen West.

Choral selections will include: “Banjo Pickin’ Girl,” an Appalachian folk song; “Music in My Mother’s House” by Stuart Stotts; “This Little Light of Mine,” arranged by Mark Hayes; “How Can I Keep From Singing” by Robert Lowry; “When I Hear Music” by Michael G. Martin and “Laudamus Te” by Rene Clausen.

Perkins, an accomplished saxophonist, will perform: “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder” by James M. Black, arranged by Brent Olstad; “Ballade” by Alfred Reed, arranged by Alfred Reed; “This Little Light Of Mine,” arranged by Brent Olstad; Sonata by Paul Creston: II with Tranquility III with Gaiety; “Benediction The Prayer” by Carole Bayer Sager and David Foster, arranged by Perkins.

Perkins will perform with pianist Jim Krause.
