NILES — Niles Community Schools has announced its continued partnership with the Meet Up and Eat Up summer program and the United Way of Southwest Michigan to bring pop-up libraries to Niles elementary students this summer.

At each event, students can take home a book of their choice for free.

The final pop-up library of the summer will be an all-district, back-to-school kickoff at Viking Stadium. The event will include the high school football team and marching band.

In addition, the district provided every preschool and elementary student a summer reading take-home pack. The pack included books specific to each student’s reading level to help families make the most of summer reading opportunities.
