ST. JOSEPH — The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual Independence Day Celebration concert on Wednesday at Silver Beach’s Shadowland Pavilion, 101 Broad St.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. The Van Dyke Revue will perform at 6 p.m., with the SMSO concert to follow at 8:30 p.m.

Fireworks are planned around 10 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for reserved seating, $20 for lawn seating, and $10 for ages 12 and younger (lawn seating only). Tickets will be $5 more on Wednesday.

Reserved tables for 10, which include two parking passes, are $350.

The Van Dyke Revue, a four-piece band from Niles, will open the evening with classic rock, folk, blues, soul and country tunes.

SMSO’s patriotic show will include “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “Liberty Fanfare,” “God Bless America,” “America the Beautiful,” “1812 Overture” and more.

The evening will include food for purchase from Lark’s Bar-B-Que, Louie’s Red Hots and The Icehouse. A selection of beer, wine and pop also will be available for purchase.

Outside food can drink can’t be brought in because of park rules.
