ST. JOSEPH — Like the journey Alison Bechdel embarks on during “Fun Home,” the cast and crew of the Twin City Players’ production went on a journey of their own to get the musical on the stage.

“Fun Home,” which opens Friday and runs for the next three weekends at the TCP Playhouse, is the first show in TCP’s 2021-22 Mainstage Season. It had been slated for production last spring, with auditions and casting taking place in February 2020.
