Religion Insights columnist for The Herald-Palladium

I am a pastor and an advocate for religion. I love religion, and I think that we, as an American society, need a lot more of it.

Further, I believe religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Mormonism, Buddhism, indigenous religions, religious atheism, or New Age practices can be powerful vehicles for deepening one’s relationship to the “Sacred Dimension.”

Today’s Insights was written by the Rev. Jim McConnell, pastor of Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in St. Joseph. Insights is written by area clergy to give different viewpoints on a variety of topics. It is published each Saturday in cooperation with the Berrien County Association of Churches. The views expressed by the author do not necessarily reflect the views of member churches.
