Edward Pinkney of Benton Township is suing Berrien County and the county’s prosecuting attorney for almost $4 million in federal court, claiming that he was wrongfully prosecuted and incarcerated for election forgery in 2014.

The lawsuit was filed Monday with the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan on Pinkney’s behalf, by Taylor attorney Timothy Holloway.
