Students at Benton Township Elementary School took a field trip to Berrien Circuit Court to learn more about the legal system. The field trip was part of Law Related Education, a partnership between area lawyers and Benton Harbor Area Schools. Participating lawyers assigned themselves to classes of fifth and sixth graders. They volunteer their time to give talks, show videos and do projects revolving around the legal and judicial system.
