ST. JOSEPH — Power in Motion Gymnastics, Dance and Cheer is in the process of expanding its building in Royalton Township.
Amber and Chad Williams, co-owners of the gymnastics center at 3889 M-139 in Royalton Township, are adding about 16,500 square feet to the existing building.
The expansion is expected to double the footprint, as the building is already 17,000 square feet.
Chad Williams said the expansion will be used for gym space and for more equipment room.
“We’re just getting started so we’re early on in the process,” Williams said. “We’re excited to have it done, but this is a multifaceted process. There will be some renovations in the current facility as well.”
The Williams have been considering this for more than four months. Construction began two weeks ago.
Chad Williams said they hope the newest expansion will be completed by the end of 2019.
Power in Motion now has about 1,100 students that use the center.
