Maria Antoniette Leto-Jannings-Sluiter, or Toni, as she preferred to be called, passed away peacefully at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center, Mich., on Jan. 24, 2021, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
She was born on April 1, 1942, in Benton Harbor, to her parents Joseph and Flora Leto.
