The day after the presidential election of 2016, like many other disappointed voters, I convinced myself that I should give the winner a chance to grow into the office. There was also the hope that I would live to see a more respected human being taking the office in 2020. The first hope has been far from realized. The second is up for grabs.
As one pundit put it recently, America is in a cold civil war. We are two large factions, miles apart in our thinking of what and who qualifies to lead the nation and what and who is criminal. Rallying cries for “law and order” are thrown around without thought to meaning and relevance.
