Rotary working hard for PARCOURSE fundraiser

Editor,

On May 29 the Paw Paw Lake Rotary Club presented Mark Libs and the Community Hospital Foundation (CHF) a check for $1,500 to help the foundation reach its goal of $35,000 to help complete funding for the PARCOURSE now under construction on the hospital campus.

This donation will be matched by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation when the $35,000 is raised by June 30, with funds directed through the Patronicity site. When the course is completed it will be open to rehabilitation patients, local sports teams and to the general public with the course consisting of two quarter mile loops with four exercise pods on each loop. The goal is to have a grand opening on Aug. 1.

Rotary has been a major supporter of the PARCOURSE since it was conceived and built. The Paw Paw Lake Rotary Club helped install equipment and maintain the original course and its commitment continues. Rotary encourages community members to help the final phase of funding by making donations to partonicity.com; follow the prompts and type in parcourse. Donations are tax deductible and will be matched dollar for dollar when the $35,000 goal is met by June 30.

Rotary meets at noon every Wednesday on the Community Hospital Campus. Come join us and help us with the projects we undertake to benefit our service area of Coloma, Watervliet and Hartford.
